A
1) Nathaniel Q. Mauldin - A friend of a family friend who runs advertisements for two large corporations across America.
2) Market Expert, he supplies ads to large businesses, similar to what I want to do for small ones.
3) I reached out to my family friend and asked if they knew anyone in the advertisement industry and I hit the jackpot! I was given his email and phone number and texted him immediately.
4) He has agreed to show me what he does in a days work.
5) By having someone who is skilled in advertisements, I can ask for tips and pointers on the design of my ads.
B
1) Riley Rodriguez - Owner of a pizza dough company that supplies for multiple local pizza places near my hometown.
2) Supplier, he supplies dough to local/small businesses.
3) I contacted my friend who's family runs a pizza shop just ten minutes north of my home. I asked him about where they get ingredients, and he told me about Mr. Rodriguez. I emailed him the following day.
4) Mr. Rodriguez has not responded yet, which is understandable, as it has only been 2 days, and this quarantine business is a lot for everyone, but I asked him to tell me about his work and what he does.
5) By learning more about what small businesses need to function, I can increase my knowledge of prices and coerce my clients in my favor by knowing more about their own costs, besides marketing.

2) Domain Expert - He advertises for his own business, and does so very syuccesfully.
3) I met him through my parents, as we take our cars to his shop. I called his place, and asked if I could meet with him.
4) I asked him if he could show me a bit about how he markets his business, and although this will take place in the future, as we are all trying to self-isolate right now.
5) Learning how he markets his business can give me all kinds of tips on how to improve other small business advertisements, as well as learn some first hand do's and don't's of digital marketing.
In future networking events, I plan on going out of my way to meet people who can help me in specific areas, rather than just talk to people who have some slight connection to my goals. I have never really tried to increase my network, so I guess that yes it was different than doing no networking at all.
